In Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, an International Naval Review will be held on the 18th and 19th of this month.
A large number of ships and aircraft from 19 countries will participate, along with numerous delegates, including the President of India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
The arrangements are being overseen by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary, Vijayanand.

The International Fleet Review (IFR) will be held in Visakhapatnam on the 18th of this month, followed by Milan-2026 on the 19th. On Monday, the Chief Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh government, K. Vijayanand, met with the Chief of Naval Command of the Eastern Naval Command in Visakhapatnam, Vice Admiral Sushil Menon (VSM), and other naval officers at the AP Secretariat to discuss the arrangements for these events.
He explained to the Chief Secretary that a large number of ships, aircraft, and delegates from various countries would be participating in this International Fleet Review (IFR).
He stated that ships from 19 countries, including Sri Lanka and Iran, and approximately 4,000 delegates would be attending. He also mentioned that three ships and about 150 delegates from the United States, Germany, and France would be participating.
Similarly, he said that 90 ships, 45 aircraft, and approximately 600 delegates from India would be participating. He added that the International Fleet Review would be held on the Visakhapatnam coast on the 18th of this month, followed by a City Parade on the 19th.
He explained that President Droupadi Murmu, State Governor Justice S. Abdul Nazeer, and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu would be attending the Fleet Review, while Defence Minister Rajnath Singh would attend MILAN, and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and other dignitaries would attend the International City Parade.
On this occasion, Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand stated that the state government would provide all necessary assistance and cooperation to the Eastern Naval Command officials to ensure the success of the International Fleet Review and MILAN-2026 program in Visakhapatnam.
He emphasized that since VIPs such as the President, Defence Minister, Governor, and Chief Minister would be attending the event, appropriate security and other arrangements should be made accordingly. CS Vijayanand issued orders to the officials.
International Fleet Review means: The President of India reviews the capabilities of the navy once during his tenure; this is called the President’s Fleet Review. An International Fleet Review involves the participation of ships from neighboring countries along with the country’s own navy.
On this occasion, the President reviews the capabilities of the ships from the respective countries. Key warships and submarines participate in this event.
Milan means: Naval forces from various countries participate in the demonstration. Milan is an event organized to strengthen mutual cooperation and capabilities in maritime operations.

Cultural performances from the respective countries are also held on this occasion. Andhra Pradesh General Administration Department Principal Secretary J. Shyamala Rao and Protocol Additional Director Mohan Rao participated in this meeting. Also, TR&B Special CS Krishnababu, IG Operations CH Srikanth, and other officials participated virtually.
