BHARATH NEWS DIGITAL: HYDERABAD:
HOW CAN THE GOVERNMENT WASH ITS HANDS OF THE MATTER BY GIVING JUST ONE DA? —- TEACHER MLC MALKA KOMARAIAH.
Teacher MLC Malka Komaraiah expressed his anguish, stating that while teachers and employees in the state were eagerly awaiting the government to clear their pending 5 DAs, the government merely announced one DA and washed its hands of the matter. He expressed his distress that employees and teachers are deeply disappointed with the government’s attitude. He released a statement to this effect.
He stated that it is unfortunate that the state government has not even mentioned the remaining DAs, and especially that the CM has not given any clarity on the PRC (Pay Revision Commission) implementation. In his statement, he demanded that the government immediately implement the PRC and release all the pending DAs. He stated that the DA sanctioned by the government was actually supposed to be given last month. The MLC reminded that they were told it would be given in July of last year. He expressed his concern that even though one DA has been given now, the central government will announce a new DA soon, which will again bring the number of pending DAs back to five. He said in his statement that it is regrettable that the government has not given any clarity on the remaining arrears.
While it is good that the government is offering a Rs. 1 crore accident insurance to employees, Malka Komaraiah requested that the government immediately pay the teachers’ medical reimbursement and retirement benefit bills that have been pending for years. He said that the CM should break his silence on the EHS (Employees Health Scheme) guidelines, which have been awaited for a long time. He demanded that the PRC committee report be released immediately and that the second pay revision be implemented with a better fitment than the previous government. He suggested that the Congress party, which claims to be a people’s government and an employee-friendly government, should prove its sincerity by fulfilling all the promises made in its election manifesto and providing all the promised facilities.
