AMARAVATI: The CBI report did not confirm that there was no adulteration anywhere. How will hardened criminals try to make people believe in lies? It is the responsibility of all of us to protect the sanctity of Tirumala . We will not let the adulterated ghee issue go.
The previous rulers committed a great sin by giving laddu made using the same adulterated ghee as prasad to crores of people, said the state Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Speaking to the media after a meeting with NDA leaders at the CM camp office today, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that the Tirumala laddu adulteration issue is a very serious matter.
This is a matter of public sentiment. We believe that this was done deliberately to damage the sanctity of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, the deity worshipped by crores.
Isn’t it a great sin when chemicals like palm oil, lactic acid, and acetic acid are used in the prasad? Who are these people who are trying to damage the trust of the people. Will they retaliate if questioned? The “Coalition government will protect religious harmony'” . We will also respect all religions, said Chandrababu.
We took samples of the laddu and sent them to the NDDB, and the SIT report revealed that all the chemicals and ghee were made with palm oil.
They acted like God. Would they do this if they had no faith in Hinduism? The British also improved traditions and customs. Chandrababu said that the previous rulers acted worse than them.
Not only did they adulterate the laddu, but now they are retaliating again and trying to divert the incident. The government will take all measures to punish the guilty severely.
We will protect the sanctity of Tirumala on behalf of the people, and we will discuss this issue with other Peethadhipas and move forward. Chandrababu made it clear that there is no problem of ignoring those who have committed irregularities and played with the sentiments of the people.
