Nalgonda District Collector Ila Tripathi, IAS., said that battery-operated tricycles will be provided in phases to all eligible differently-abled persons in the district. She attended as the chief guest at the distribution program of battery-operated motorcycles for the differently-abled, organized today at the TTDC near the district headquarters under the auspices of the District Welfare Department with the cooperation of ECIL.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that during Prajavani (public grievance redressal program) and other times, many differently-abled persons in the district had requested battery-operated tricycles. She stated that, in response to their request, she spoke with the ECIL management and is providing battery-operated motorcycles to 105 differently-abled persons in the district in the first phase. The Collector said that initially, these are being distributed to 50 people today. She urged the differently-abled to make good use of the battery-operated cycles provided to them. Collector Ila Tripathi said that these battery-operated cycles are being provided with the intention of giving the differently-abled an opportunity to become more economically independent. She said that after she assumed office as the District Collector, a survey of differently-abled persons was conducted in the district. She stated that the survey revealed that there are approximately 55,000 differently-abled persons in the district. Ila Tripathi added that it was identified that many of them needed various types of assistive devices for the disabled. She explained that they are initially providing battery-operated motorcycles worth approximately 70 to 80 lakh rupees. She expressed her gratitude to the ECIL management for this. Collector Ila Tripathi requested that ECIL provide further support to Nalgonda district in the future. She specifically requested assistance in areas such as toilets for girls in remote tribal areas, anemia prevention, and nutrition. She stated that proposals for this would be submitted in advance. The Collector mentioned that Nalgonda district is the largest district in the state and has a large tribal population. She said that people with disabilities need artificial limbs, similar to the three-wheeled cycles. She stated that a survey is being conducted in this regard. After the survey report is received, the details will be submitted to ALIMCO and ECIL, she added. She appealed to ECIL CMD Anurag Kumar to provide assistance in this matter.
ECIL CMD Anurag Kumar said that he was happy that their organization was providing three-wheeled cycles to people with disabilities in a district like Nalgonda. He revealed that their organization is involved in projects such as Chandrayaan and nuclear power generation. He stated that as part of their social responsibility programs under CSR funds, they have provided battery-operated three-wheeled cycles to people with disabilities in Nalgonda district. He specifically announced that the three-wheeled cycles were provided at the behest of District Collector Ila Tripathi. ECIL Executive Director Santosh Ramaswamy, Chief Vigilance Officer Krishna Kumar, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Venubabu, ALIMCO DGM Sandesh Singh, District Welfare Officer Krishnaveni, and others addressed the gathering at the event. On this occasion, the District Collector and ECIL CMD Anurag Kumar distributed tricycles to persons with disabilities.

ECIL Deputy General Manager Sunil Kumar, Technical Officer Sambamurthy, District Medical and Health Officer Dr. Putla Srinivas, DCHS Dr. Matrunayak, DRDO Sekhar Reddy, District Education Officer Bikshapathi, Deputy DMHO Dr. Kalyan, and Dr. Ravishankar and Sunil Kumar from ALIMCO were among those present at the event.
