Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha held a review with officials on the rain situation. She spoke to the collectors of several districts on the phone and inquired about the situation at the field level. She ordered to set up control rooms in all districts immediately.
It was clarified that people in the Krishna river basin and other low-lying areas should be constantly alerted. Officials should be available at the field level and monitor the situation. He said that SDRF and NDRF teams should be kept ready to deal with emergencies. The minister ordered to remove dangerous hoardings and fallen trees on the roads immediately.

On the other hand, Power Minister Gottipati Ravikumar held a teleconference with his department officials. He inquired about the problems being faced in the power supply due to rain. He directed the officials to take all preventive measures so that the people do not face any difficulties.
The officials explained to the minister that power supply has been stopped in some areas of Uttar Andhra where water flow is high due to safety reasons. He said that except for one or two places across the state, no major problems have arisen. Gottipati suggested that people should be alerted to avoid electrical accidents. He also directed that steps should be taken to ensure that staff are careful with electric wires during the immersion processions of Ganesha idols.
