AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the loss of lives in the massive explosion that took place at a fireworks manufacturing plant in Vetlapalem, Kakinada district this afternoon. The death of the workers has deeply disturbed me and the Chief Minister is in touch with the concerned officials minute to minute regarding this accident.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting on the explosion incident at a fireworks manufacturing plant in Vetlapalem, Samarlakota mandal, Kakinada district. The Chief Minister, who is on a visit to Vizianagaram, asked the officials about the accident and spoke to the senior officials from Vizianagaram about the reasons for the accident… They inquired about the relief efforts being received there at present.

Officials said that up to 20 people were working at the Surya Fireworks Works where the accident occurred. The CM expressed grief over the loss of lives of the firework manufacturers and asked the ministers and senior officials to go to the incident site.
