“MILITARY BAND PERFORMS AT LUMBINI PARK, HYDERABAD

As part of the Republic Day Celebrations 2026 and the commemoration of 150 years
the national song ” Vande Mataram “, the Artillery Centre, Hyderabad under the aegis of HQ Southern Command successfully conducted a Military Band performance at the Lumbini Park, Hyderabad on 25 January 2026 as part of Indian Army’s initiative of conducting such grand displays at various locations across the country, including India Gate
The event commenced at Lumbini Park, Hyderabad and witnessed large public turnout, with citizens from all walks of life including students’ families, veterans and senior citizens participating enthusiastically in the celebrations, an hour-long performance featured a selection of patriotic and martial compositions, culminating with the full rendition of “Vande Mataram”, which evoked a strong sense of national pride and national connect among the audience.
The band, resplendent in ceremonial attire, displayed exemplary military discipline decorum, earning rounds of applause from the gathering. The performance received an overwhelming response from the public, reinforcing the enduring bond between the Indian Army and the citizens and underscoring the Army’s commitment to engage with the nation beyond its primary role of safeguarding sovereignty.
