Rambilly (Visakhapatnam). Opportunities for 67,218 people to get jobs. That is chandrababu s efficiency

Andhra Pradesh has written a new chapter in investment attraction. It has attracted the largest foreign direct investment in the history of the country. Google subsidiary Raiden Infotech India Limited will set up the largest data center outside the US in Visakhapatnam.

The 11th State Level Investment Promotion Board, chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, has approved this data center project to be set up with an investment of Rs. 87,520 crore.

Raiden Infotech will set up data centers in three campuses at Rambilli near Tarluvada, Adivivaram and Achyutapuram in Visakhapatnam. These campuses will be set up in connection with the cable landing station coming to Visakhapatnam. Along with this project, investments worth Rs. 1,14,824 crore have been approved through various projects across the state.

This will create jobs for 67,218 people. The SIPB meeting, which lasted for almost 3 hours, approved projects in the hospitality sector to boost tourism, along with the energy sector, food processing, IT, aerospace, automobile manufacturing sectors. The Chief Minister and ministers congratulated IT Minister Nara Lokesh on AP’s achievement of the country’s largest foreign direct investment through the Raiden Infotech Data Center.

He said that data centers will become a technology game changer for AP like Quantum Valley. The CM commented on this occasion that the investment efforts are yielding positive results in just 15 months.

The Chief Minister expressed the opinion that an ecosystem is coming with data centers.. Visakhapatnam city will become the next level AI city. The CM commented that if electricity is provided at a low price, it will be good for the IT sector.  Investments worth Rs 7.07 lakh crore have been approved through 11 SIPBs so far. These projects will provide direct jobs to 6.20 lakh people.

The Chief Minister commented that these data centers coming to the state on the lines of Quantum Valley are a key turning point in the technology sector. IT Minister Nara Lokesh proposed that a special corridor should be set up for Rayalaseema on the lines of the economic corridor set up for the industrial development of Visakhapatnam.

The CM suggested that an economic progress region should be set up from East Godavari to Srikakulam, with Amaravati as the center, from West Godavari to Prakasam, and another economic development region should be set up with Nellore and Rayalaseema districts.

The CM said that currently, aerospace, electronics, drone cities, as well as automobile corridors are being developed in the Rayalaseema region.  In addition, Rayalaseema, which is the center of horticultural crops, is becoming an agro-processing hub and will soon become a world-famous center, he said.

The CM said that the capital city of Amaravati will become a knowledge economy center with Quantum Valley. Orvakal in Kurnool district should also be made into a major industrial area. For this, a land bank should be prepared and projects should be invited.

He said that focus should also be placed on value addition in the food processing sector. The Chief Minister also said that special attention should be paid to projects in the hospitality sector and quality accommodation should be provided to tourists.

He suggested that an eco-system should also be created in association with various categories of hotels under construction in the state. He said that the Culinary Institute in Tirupati should be elevated to a deemed university and various institutions should be connected.

He said that focus should be placed on establishing various experience centers along with traditions like Kuchipudi and Thinsa.  He suggested that Utsavs should be organized in places like Visakhapatnam and Rajahmundry on the lines of the recently successful Vijayawada Utsav.

IT Minister Nara Lokesh explained to the Chief Minister that Virginia city in America is a data valley.. and Visakhapatnam is also being developed into a data valley with the Ryden and Google projects. The Minister said that TCS will also soon open a campus here.. and that they are working towards creating jobs for 5 lakh people in Visakhapatnam city alone.

The CM ordered the officials to prepare a master plan on issues like industrial areas, water supply and consumption in the state. The CM directed the Industries Department to ensure that the Jindal Steel Plant is completed by 2028. 

The SIPB meeting was attended by Ministers Nara Lokesh, K. Atchennaidu, P. Narayana, TG Bharat, Kandula Durgesh, BC Janardhan Reddy, Vasamsetty Subhash, Angani Satya Prasad, along with CS K. Vijayanand, top officials of the industries, IT, food processing, tourism and finance departments.
