Telugu Desam Party Chief Chandrababu Naidu has warned party cadres that disciplinary action will be taken against anyone who attempts to tarnish the party’s reputation. Chandrababu took a serious stance in light of the allegations leveled against Eluru MP Putta Mahesh Kumar.

He cautioned that everyone—from party activists to leaders—must maintain discipline and strive to enhance the party’s prestige; he warned that anyone engaging in activities that undermine the party’s standing would inevitably face severe repercussions.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has taken the drug case allegations against Eluru MP Putta Maheshkumar seriously.

He has ordered the party state president to submit a comprehensive report on the incident and issue notices to the MP and seek an explanation.

Chandrababu clarified that MP Mahesh should be kept away from party functions until the report is received and said that there is no question of ignoring anyone involved in anti-social activities like drugs.

On this occasion, he issued a stern warning, stating that any harm caused to the party—whether due to mistakes committed by TDP individuals or leaders—would not be tolerated.
