State Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy said in a press conference on Tuesday that the funds for the five thousand temples to be built in the state have come from devotees.

He clarified that 5000 temples will be built in the Dalit tribal villages of the state in the next five years.

He said that today Kanakadurgamma Navratri celebrations will be held in Vijayawada in grandeur and the light of thousands of lamps. He said that the coalition government has taken steps to protect Hindu Dharma as well as Sanatan Dharma.

He said that funds of ten thousand rupees per month have been allocated to about 5523 temples for incense offerings, and similarly, the salaries of priests have also been increased.

There are 75 temples with an income of one crore to five crore rupees. Notifications have been issued for 58 temples, and 22 temples have been appointed governing bodies. Minister Anam said that by December-March, full-fledged governing bodies will be formed in all temples. Minister said.
