While traveling from Mecca to Medina, a bus collided with a diesel tanker. The tanker caught fire and the pilgrims burned alive.
The officials identified 21 women and 11 children among the dead. The bodies were burned beyond recognition as the bus was completely burnt.
There are reports that a group of 18 pilgrims from Hyderabad were also there.. One person survived. The Chief Minister of the state expressed deep shock over the news that many people from Telangana are among the dead in the horrific road accident in Saudi Arabia.

As per the orders of the state Chief Minister, Revant Reddy, the state government’s Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao today spoke to the Resident Commissioner in New Delhi and officials of the Ministry of External Affairs of India to immediately take steps to collect information related to these deceased and provide appropriate assistance to their families.
The Chief Secretary informed that a special control room has been set up in the state secretariat regarding this horrific bus accident that took place in Saudi Arabia. Relatives of the pilgrims are reaching travel agencies after receiving news that Telangana residents have died in the Saudi bus accident. It is said that 16 people from Asif Nagar Jirra area went to Saudi through Al Meena Travels in Mallepalli, 24 people through Mehidipatnam Flyzone Travels, and two from another agency. MP Asad expressed shock over the accident. He said that information is being collected from the authorities.

The dead are: Rahimunnisa, Rahmat Bi, Shehnaz Begum, Ghausia Begum, Qadir Mohammad, Mohammad Maulana, Shoaib Mohammad, Sohail Mohammad, Mastan Mohammad, Parveen Begum, Zakia Begum, Shaukat Begum, Farheen Begum, Zaheen Begum, Mohammad Sanjid, identified as Mohammad Ali as per sources.
A total of 54 people left Hyderabad through four agencies.._All of them were on the bus at the time of the accident
One out of 46 people survived.
18 women, 18 men, ten The children died in the incident.._The condition of the young man Shoaib, who escaped with his life, is yet to be fully known.
A team from the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia has gone to the scene of the incident.._The hospital where the victims are being checked is being checked..Out of the 54 people, 46 went by bus, four others remained in Mecca, and four others left by car.._These 8 people are reported to be safe.._The bus was a transport department bus belonging to the Saudi government.
