Peaceful arrangements for Maha Shivaratri
Lakhs of devotees visited the crowded Shiva temples in Andhra Pradesh. Heavy police and revenue security was provided to ensure that devotees had a peaceful darshan of Lord Shiva in Pattisam (Pattiseema).

AMARAVATI : thousands of devotees across Andhra Pradesh took holy dips in rivers like the Godavari and Krishna, with over 10 lakh expected at 10 prominent Shiva temples in the Godavari districts alone.
Exact statewide figures for dips are not yet finalized, but crowds are unprecedented at key sites. No major law and order problems have been reported today.
Police have deployed heavy security, including over 1,600 personnel at Srisailam, drones for crowd monitoring in Godavari areas, and special teams across districts to ensure smooth celebrations.

Polavaram MLA (Janasyna) Chirri Balaraju visited Sri Veereshwara Swamy temple today in Pattiseema and performed special pujas on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri.
He visited the Lord Veeraswara swamy with his family and offered silk clothes.
Later, special worship and abhishekam were performed amidst the chanting of mantras by Vedic scholars and the blessings of the Lord were received. The temple authorities and priests gave a grand welcome amidst the melathalas.The Endowment Officers presented the portrait to MLA.
He hoped that the festival of Shivaratri would enhance spiritual awareness and that everyone who walks on the path of devotion would be blessed by the Lord. Special prayers were offered for peace and prosperity for all the people of the state.
A large number of devotees have been visiting the holy Godavari places since morning to have darshan of Sri Veereshwara Swamy in West Godavari Pattiseema.
Continuous revenue and police security was maintained, District Superintendent of Police K. Pratap siva Kumar personally participated today and inspected the security arrangements. The devotees thanked the Police Department and their staff for providing security to the devotees and ensuring that they did not face any inconvenience.

They also congratulated the Endowment Executive Officer Ch.Venkata lakshmi and the temple committee members for making arrangements for darshan in each and everyone without any delay in the darshan of the Lord.
