The government should stop the recent attempts by some journalists’ associations, which have been defunct for the past few years, to regain recognition in the committee through various means. Also, if a journalist is a member of one association and is in another, the accreditation of that journalist should be cancelled.

According to the information coming in that some journalists’ unions, which have not been in existence for the last 5 to 6 years, are now in a hurry to renew and are trying to regain their place in the committee through various means, the AP Information Department should be alert,
National Vice President All India Newspaper Employees Federation, (New Delhi.) Chaladi Poornachandra Rao has appealed to the government.
Regarding to the information that journalists with the same are members of multiple unions, the department has expressed doubts about how it is possible for the same person to continue in all the unions.
In this regard, the Labor Commissioner’s Office has already withdrawn the lists of unions sent to the Information Department, and if the names of the members are members of the appropriate union, Poorna Chandra Rao has requested the Government Labor Commissioner to check the receipt of that union and recommend only the eligible unions to the Information Department.
He also said that the Information Department should also stop the accreditation of those who are journalists and continue in multiple unions. If the recently extended two-month period expires by the time this review is completed, Poorna Chandra Rao has requested that the process of issuing accreditation cards be carried out only by the accreditation committees previously formed with the officials, regardless of the union committees.

Poorna Chandra Rao urged the Andhra Pradesh government to strictly implement the provisions mentioned in the newly drafted G. O for media accreditations, which will provide some relief to some extent. He said.
