Finally, flight services from Rajahmundry in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh to the holy shrine of Tirupati have started from today. Union Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu and Rajahmundry BJP MP Dagguppati Purandhareshwari participated in this inauguration program virtually from New Delhi.
these flights will be operated between Rajahmundry and Tirupati three days a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) under the auspices of Alliance Air, Rammohan Naidu said.
He said that flight services to Delhi and Mumbai had also been started earlier. Now they have become the most demanded air services in the country. They are now running at full occupancy. He said that the capacity of Rajahmundry Airport is known from such flights.
He described the launch of the flight service from the cultural capital Rajahmundry to the spiritual capital Tirupati as a gift to all the residents of both Godavari districts.
He said that in the context of the possibility of increasing ticket prices on routes with high demand, the first 35 seats in the flight service from Rajahmundry to Tirupati will be offered for Rs.1999 for three months, and the next 35 seats will be offered for Rs. 4000.
He said that the 2nd terminal is also being newly constructed at Rajahmundry Airport, and the work is progressing briskly and it will be made available soon.
In the context of the public representatives wanting to start air services from Rajahmundry to Shirdi, Goa, Ahmedabad, Varanasi and other places, he assured that he would try to start them too.
He said that an air service is already running to Bangalore, and efforts are being made to set up another service in addition to these. He said that the flight services from Rajahmundry to any destination are running with 100 percent occupancy, which is a very happy development.
