AMARAVATI:.A young woman jumped into the Godavari from the Pasarlapudi bridge in Ambedkar Konaseema district on Sunday morning. The devotees who were performing the rituals there on the occasion of Shivaratri noticed this and informed the fishermen there, who immediately jumped into the Godavari and saved the woman.
According to the information given by the police, A young woman attempted suicide on the Vainateya bridge in Pasarlapudi, Mamidikuduru mandal on Sunday.
The young woman from Makanapalam jumped into the Godavari from the bridge, and the devotees who had come to bathe on Mahashivratri noticed it and immediately alerted the local fishermen.
The fishermen, who acted in a timely manner, went in a boat and rescued the young woman and brought her to the shore. This averted a major accident. The police have launched an investigation into the incident, full details are yet to be known.
