In Cr. No. 1433/2025 U/s: 103(1), 238 r/w 3(5) BNS MEDIPALLY POLICE OF RACHAKONDA COMMISSIONERATE ARRESTED THREE ACCUSED IN A SPOUSAL MURDER CASE
Medipally Police of Rachakonda Commissionerate successfully detected a murder case and arrested three accused, including the wife of the deceased, who killed Sri V.J. Ashok, Age: 45 yrs, along with two other accused by strangulation at East Brundavan Colony, Boduppal.
On 12.12.2025, Smt. J. Purnima, wife of the deceased, lodged a complaint stating that her husband Sri V.J. Ashok, aged 45 years, working as Logistic Manager at Srinidhi University, was found unconscious in the washroom of their house and was declared dead at Government Hospital, Malkajgiri. Initially, no suspicion was expressed. Accordingly, a case was registered and investigation was taken up.
During the course of investigation, suspicious injuries were noticed on the dead body, including injuries on the cheek and neck, raised some suspicious over the death. Basing on the CCTV footages and technical evidence, the following accused were arrested:
A-1: Smt. J. Purnima, W/o V.J. Ashok, Age: 36 yrs, Occ: Play School (Self), R/o: Boduppal
A-2: Paleti Mahesh, S/o Musalaiah, Age: 22 yrs, Occ: Construction Worker, R/o Boduppal, N/o: Prakasam District of AP.
A-3: Bhukya Sai Kumar @ Sai s/o: Biknu, age: 22 yrs, occ: Student, R/o: Yadadri District.

One Apple iPhone-15 (used by A-2)
Blood-stained three chunnis (white, black, maroon)
Blood-stained shirt and banian
Broken teeth of the deceased
One pen drive containing incriminating photos and videos.

Brief Facts of the Case:
During the investigation it was revealed that A-1 developed an illicit relationship with A-2, who was previously residing in the same colony. The deceased, upon suspecting the relationship, started questioning and harassing A-1. Due to this, A-1 and A-2 conspired to eliminate the deceased. They took the help of A-3 Sai. Accordingly, on 11.12.2025 at about 18:15 hours, after the deceased returned home from work, A-2 and A-3 caught hold of him and assaulted him, while A-1 held his legs. A-2 strangulated the deceased using three chunnis, causing his death. After the murder, the accused changed the clothes of the deceased and disposed of the incriminating articles to destroy evidence. A-1 misled relatives by stating that the death was due to a heart attack. The case was altered from Section 194 BNSS to Sections 103(1), 238 r/w 3(5) BNS. All the accused were arrested and being remanded to judicial custody. Efforts are ongoing to strengthen prosecution with scientific and forensic evidence.
The case was detected under the able leadership of Sri G. Sudheer Babu, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, and under the direct supervision of Sri Ch. Sridhar, IPS, DCP, Malkajgiri Zone, and Sri S. Chakrapani, ACP, Malkajgiri Division. The deployed teams consisting R.Govinda Reddy, SHO- Medipally, A.Narsinga Rao, G.Udaya Bhasker, SI`s of Police, Medipally PS and staff have made the hard work of investigation and arrested the accused.
