A farewell meeting was held today for about 200 women who received three months of sewing machine training with the help of BC Corporation at Ambedkar Community Hall.
MLA Adireddy Srinivas attended the program as the chief guest and presented certificates of appreciation to the women who completed the training. Speaking on the occasion.
The coalition government is implementing many welfare schemes for the economic development of women. He said that five sewing training centers have been set up in different areas for women in the city.
He said that about 628 women are undergoing training in sewing machines. He said that more new centers will be set up in the future and a large number of women will be trained in sewing machines.
He said that one of the Super Six schemes, free bus travel for women, is going to start from August 15. He said that unlike the previous government, the Mother’s Salute scheme has been implemented for all eligible students.
He reminded me that the free gas cylinder scheme has been being provided since Diwali last year. However, he explained that the coalition government will take steps to overcome the technical errors arising in the matter of gas subsidy deposit and is planning to provide gas cylinders instead of giving subsidy money.
MLA Adireddy Srinivas called on women to take advantage of the schemes being provided by the government, and develop themselves economically. Jana Sena Party Rajahmundry City President Y Srinu said that MLA Adireddy Srinivas is doing many service programs through his Bhavani Charitable Trust.
