AMARAVATI: Compared to the past, people are currently satisfied with revenue services. The Chief Minister is determined to increase this further. Many steps have been taken so that no one goes around the revenue offices with land disputes. New laws have been brought for this. Useless laws have been repealed.
The YSRCP government has become the first government in the history of the state to completely destroy the revenue department, which is directly related to the people and is the closest department.
The YSRCP government has taken the state back 30 years in five years after coming to power. Wherever you look, land grabbing, fraud, tampering of records, burning of files, and a situation where private lands are not protected. They have created panic with the Land Titling Act. They created new problems by mentioning the name of re-survey.
The previous government acted to the extent that families were separated due to land disputes. They caused difficulties with the 22A list. Chandrababu decided to provide security to people’s assets and ensure their future.
During his 22-month rule, major changes were brought in the revenue department.. They started providing revenue services from mobile through WhatsApp governance ‘Mana Mitra’ without any scope for corruption.
The NALA Act was also repealed to make it easy to convert land for non-agricultural purposes. Figures on 77 lakh survey stones were removed.
Relief was provided by removing private lands from the 22A land list. Ex-soldiers, freedom fighters, political victims… were excluded from the prohibited list even if they had even one piece of evidence in the 8 documents prescribed for them.
The government’s goal is to complete the re-survey of the entire state by March 2027. New pattadar passbooks are being issued with the royal seal. The Chief Minister himself attends the program organized on the 9th of every month, ‘Your Land-Your Right’.
Also, the powers of the Collector are being decentralised under Section 22A. The powers are being transferred to JCs and RDOs. With this, revenue problems and petitions will be resolved quickly. RDOs and Tahsildars are being empowered to correct web land errors suo motu. On the other hand, out of the 13.59 lakh acres in freehold, the Chief Minister has already instructed the officials to give full ownership rights to 9.25 lakh acres of eligible lands.

Soon, land use changes and missing survey number services will be started in the Swarna Gram and Swarna Ward offices. Reforms have also been brought in the case of inherited lands. The opportunity to register properties below Rs. 10 lakhs has been provided for Rs. 100 and properties above Rs. 10 lakhs for just Rs. 1,000. The Chief Minister has a goal of making Andhra Pradesh a land issue-free state by 2027.
