(Visakhapatnam)A mega job fair was organized in collaboration with Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) at TSR & TBK Degree College, Srinagar, Gajuwaka on Thursday. The event was inaugurated by Telugu Desam Party state president Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao.

With a large gathering of youth from across the state, more than 5,000 candidates registered for the fair, which was attended by more than 55 renowned companies offering diverse employment opportunities. According to the organizers, nearly 1,200 candidates got on-the-spot placements,

To succeed in the competitive world
“In today’s environment, only those who are willing to work 12 to 14 hours with discipline and purpose can achieve success,” Srinivas said. He urged the youth to identify a clear career direction, improve their skills and pursue continuous learning. He said that new avenues of employment are opening up across the state.

He assured that those who are not selected will not be left behind. “Our office is collecting your details. In the next six months, your profiles will be distributed to companies across the state,” he confirmed.

He said that the state government is committed to job creation under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh, and that software companies are coming to Visakhapatnam as a preferred investment destination.

In just 17 months, investments worth ₹9.5 lakh crore have been mobilised, with global giants like Google, TCS, Tata and ArcelorMittal choosing Visakhapatnam as a strategic hub. “This trajectory reflects not only the confidence of investors but also the rapid opportunities for the youth of Andhra Pradesh,” he said.

He stressed that Visakhapatnam is on track to become a leading IT hub in India by 2047. Srinivas said that the ₹87,500 crore data centre cluster proposed by Google under the banner of “Cyber ​ Visakhapatnam” will usher in a new era for the region.
