Minister Kandula Durgesh, Special Secretary, Tourism Department Ajay Jain, MD Amrapali Kata will participate in the National Mission to be held in Udaipur, Rajasthan on October 14 and 15 under the chairmanship of Union Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to present the state vision on the implementation of the Union Budget 2025-26 announcements related to the development of the tourism sector in the country.
Minister Kandula Durgesh’s team will be present as a representative on behalf of the AP government to discuss the national mission aimed at developing 50 globally competitive tourist destinations in the country and creating performance-based incentives.
On this occasion, Minister Durgesh will explain the tourism proposals on behalf of Andhra Pradesh under the National Mission. In this historic meeting, the efforts to achieve the goals of the national mission, the promotion of private investment, local economic growth, employment generation for the youth, policies adopted in the state tourism department, incentives provided to investors for investment, etc. will be revealed by the coalition government.
Moreover, a presentation will be given on the way the AP government is working to develop tourist destinations in the state in accordance with international standards and to provide wonderful experiences to tourists. The steps to be taken to make AP one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Asia by 2030 will be explained in the meeting.
In this context, the Center will develop the selected major tourist destinations in the respective states in ‘challenge mode’ with the participation of the states. The Central Government will provide performance-based incentives to the states for effective destination management, including tourism facilities, cleanliness, and marketing efforts.
On this occasion, the states will have to provide the land required for the construction of infrastructure in tourist destinations.
With the support of the central government and the special focus of the coalition government led by CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan on the tourism sector, tourism investments worth Rs. 12,000 crore have already been attracted, and after the two-day Udaipur meeting, two or three more tourism projects are likely to come to AP with the approval of the center, Minister Kandula Durgesh said.

The chief guest of this program is Union Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, along with tourism ministers and officials of all states and union territories.
