The body of Kadali Durga Santosh, a resident of Rajol in Konaseema district of Andhra Pradesh, who died in a massive fire accident in an apartment in Kuwait, reached his dead body to his hometown today (united East Godavari district).

A fire accident occurred in the room of a construction worker in Kuwait on June 1 due to an AC short circuit, District Collector R Mahesh Kumar said in a statement on Wednesday.
Of the victims, only one person was from Konaseema district of Andhra Pradesh state, India. His dead body was brought to Rajolu today, the Konaseema District Collector said.
According to the details given by the Collector, since the body was burned beyond recognition, it was not possible to identify who the deceased was, and even the relatives present there were doubtful whether he had disappeared or died, and the family members approached the Konaseema Center for Migration to provide them with assistance in finding the whereabouts of their child, the Collector said.
Recently, the Konaseema Migrant Center, which was set up by the District Collector in their office to enable the people of Konaseema to get safe job opportunities abroad without the involvement of fake agents, was set up by the Konaseema Collector, Suryana Rayana, father of the deceased Kadali Durga Santosh, and Adina Rayana, paternal uncle of the deceased Konaseema Collector. The District Collector immediately responded and took special initiative and made necessary arrangements through the nodal officer, the DRO.
The District Collector said that after knowing the details of the accident that took place there, a DNA test was required for it. As per the instructions of the District Collector, the District SP B. Krishna Rao coordinated with the officials of various departments regarding DNA and conducted tests on the family members at the hospital in Mangalagiri and sent the DNA report to Kuwait. They matched the DNA and identified the deceased as belonging to Konaseema district and sent the dead body back to their home country.

Similarly, he said that this center has played a key role in sending the bodies of two people who had already died abroad back to their home country. The Collector said that the Centre has taken a special initiative to provide justice to about 60 people who were cheated by fake agents and who were given lakhs of rupees for employment.
The Collector said that the Centre is playing a very important role in creating awareness among those who want to go abroad and support their families by sending them through a safe agency as per the guidelines of the Ministry of External Affairs of India.
