State Handloom and Textiles Minister S. Savita said that MoUs are going to be signed into the textiles sector at the Partnership Summit to be held in Visakhapatnam on 14th and 15th of this month.
It was revealed that two stalls will also be set up at the Visakhapatnam Summit. Minister Savita met with State Handloom and Textiles Principal Secretary RP Socidia, Commissioner Rekha Rani and Industries Secretary Yuvraj in her chamber at the State Secretariat in Amaravati on Monday.
Minister Savita revealed that special time is being allocated for MoUs in the textiles sector as part of the Partnership Summit. He ordered steps to bring investors who have already come forward to invest in the textiles sector in AP to the Visakhapatnam Summit.
In which areas in the state are they interested in investing… How much are they investing? The minister inquired.
Minister Savita said that an AP pavilion is being set up as part of the Visakhapatnam Summit. It has been decided to set up two stalls in this pavilion.
In one of them, they will set up textiles and art forms that have won OD OP awards. On the other hand, it has been decided to sell all types of handloom clothes. Handloom and textile department officials and others participated in this program.
