Not only should the surroundings be clean, but our thoughts should also be pure. The sanitation workers are the ones leading this cleanliness movement from the front… We must express our gratitude to them. We have introduced the Circular Economy Policy and undertaken recycling. Workers are collecting garbage from their homes. They are separating wet and dry waste. People are providing the waste separately, said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Today, Chandrababu participated in the Swachh Andhra – Swarna Andhra program in Anakapalli. Andhra Pradesh..The Swachh Bharat program is running in a way that inspires the entire country. Any program undertaken with public participation will be permanent. It will bring about a change in the living standards of the people, he said.
This is not a forced program… Everyone should participate in this program for future generations. We have introduced Swachh Raths (cleanliness vehicles). They are collecting plastic, bottles, etc., and providing goods equivalent to their value. Wealth is being generated from waste.
This is very gratifying. The waste is being converted into compost and sold to farmers. Farmers who previously used more chemicals are now saying that they are using compost fertilizers. Sanitation workers are the true cleanliness warriors. We are taking measures for their safety, said Chandrababu.
Let’s make the state plastic-free by June 2026 in all 175 constituencies. We have eliminated plastic in the state secretariat. The previous government left behind a legacy of 86 lakh metric tons of waste. We have set a target to ensure that no waste is visible on the roads by January 26th. Currently, Swachh Rathams (cleanliness vehicles) are operating in 25 areas. We are collecting dry waste through these. We will soon increase their number to 100 and make more available, the CM explained.
We have set a target to produce home compost in 5 lakh houses in urban areas… This is currently being done in 3.91 lakh houses.Similarly, in rural areas, we have set a target to produce home compost in 10 lakh houses… and we are doing it in 3.30 lakh houses. We will achieve the set target by March 26th, he said.

We are initiating good governance by providing online services so that people don’t have to run around offices. Our main objective is to provide government services to the people quickly, and we will make Andhra Pradesh a model for how governance should be. We have repaid your debt by implementing the Super 6 schemes, Chandrababu said.
