AMARAVATI: Many families in the surrounding areas of the village are falling ill due to the stench emitted by the Leham Food Products Company in Thetali village of Tanuku mandal in Andhra Pradesh, and the government should take immediate action to save the lives of the people, Legislative Council member Vanka Ravindra Nada Chowdhury will bring it to the attention of the members in the Legislative Council today.

Ravindranath was angry that the affected people have asked to stop the stench emitted by the food product and that it is inhuman to take action against the responsible parties.

The MLC also said that this food company is also involved in illegal trafficking of cattle. Ravindra said that it is a very bad thing that the government officials are not taking action against this illegal trafficking in the state.

Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Speaking in the council, he urged the state to curb illegal cattle trafficking and not just the police department but also the animal husbandry department and the transport department to take joint action.

He alleged that despite several allegations against the Leham Food Products company in Thetali village of Tanuku mandal of West Godavari district, the government officials are not taking any action and are openly selling cattle without proper documents.

If the residents of this area complain that they are falling ill due to the foul smell coming from the factory, it is cruel to arrest them unjustly without thinking about solving the problem, said Ravindra Nath.
