AMARAVATI: YSRCP MLCs tried to attack BJP MLC (Rajamundry) Somu Veeraj during the question and answer session in the Legislative Council.

YSRCP MLCs are venting their anger on the chairman and members of other parties. The YSRCP MLAs’ attempt to attack BJP MLC Somu Veerraju became a hot topic in the Legislative Council on Thursday.

Revanth Reddy announced in the Telangana Assembly that Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation has been stopped. YSRCP MLCs has raised concerns that the government should make an announcement on this.

This discussion came as part of the question on the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Project. After the members spoke, the minister answered. After the answer was over, the Council Chairman went to the next question.

However, the YSRCP members insisted on answering Revanth Reddy’s comments. The chairman of the council, who said that there would be no further discussion on the question since the answer to the question was complete, gave the opportunity to Somu Veerraju to ask the next question.

Just as Somu Veerraju stood up and asked his question, the YSRCP members rushed towards him. They tried to stop him from asking the question. MLC Israel tried to attack Somu Veerraju.

Other MLCs rushed to compete with him. However, Home Minister Anitha and other TDP members stood in defense of Somu Veerraju. Due to the chaos that ensued, the chairman adjourned the council for a while. The behavior of the YSRCP MLCs became controversial.

Condemnation of the attack

BJP state executive committee member Paluri Satyanandam condemned the attacks by YSRCP MLCs on MLC Somu Veerraju, calling them shameful.
He criticized that such attacks on a senior member are against democratic values. He expressed anger over the way YSRCP members behaved in the House without even considering that they are women ministers.
