The tireless work of teachers has fostered a cultured and enlightened society. The APPUSMA has accepted the appeal of private school teachers with proven merit and commitment to be included in the list of best teachers of the state government and it is a divine act to honor the services of teachers, said Andhra Pradesh TDP chief Palla Srinivas Rao.

179 teachers and correspondents were felicitated at the Best Teachers Awards ceremony held in Visakhapatnam today. The “Best School Teachers Awards” program organized by the Andhra Pradesh Private Unaided Schools Managements Association (APPUSMA) was held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Auditorium of Andhra University Engineering College on Saturday.

The TDP state chief also praised the perseverance and vision of Education Minister Nara Lokesh.  “16,347 candidates got teaching posts through the mega DSC recruitment process. Among them is Gudla Suryanarayana, a shepherd from a small village in Srikakulam district, who has fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a teacher,” Srinivasa Rao said.

The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by APPUSMA Chief Mentor A. Krishna Reddy, while Srinivasa Rao, who was the chief guest, presented awards to the recipients and appreciated their dedicated service to education.

APPUSMA District President M.V.V. Satyanarayana, Secretary U. Suresh Kumar, Treasurer Seshu, Regional President M.V. Rao, State Secretary Dr. Srinivasa Rao, Programme Convener M. Ramu Naidu and Press Coordinator Mohammed Qasim were present.
