Sensational facts come to light in the phone tapping case Prabhakar Rao tapped a total of 4200 phones in the name of Maoist sympathizers. All these phone tappings came to light with evidence provided by mobile service providers.
Between November 15 and 30, 2023, at least 618 leaders’ phones were tapped. This includes YSRCP leaders from Telangana as well as Andhra Pradesh.
It is reported that the phones of leaders like former Gurajala MLA Kasu Mahesh Reddy and Kotimreddy Vinay Kumar Reddy were also tapped by a team led by Prabhakar Rao.
Along with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and PCC President Mahesh Goud, the phones of key leaders and followers of many parties including Congress and BJP have also become targets of tapping.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is continuing its investigation into the matter at a fast pace. Yesterday alone, nine witnesses were recorded. These include PCC President Mahesh Goud, Rajya Sabha member Anil Kumar Yadav, former Gadwal ZP Chairperson Saritha, her husband Tirupathaiah, and four employees of Gandhi Bhavan.
Today, PCC spokesperson Jayapal Reddy appeared before the SIT and gave his statement. Similarly, former SIB DSP Praneeth Rao was also questioned.
