District Collector Mahesh Kumar has directed the Revenue Railway officials to complete the joint survey process of Kotipalli_Narasapuram railway line as per the recent court verdict.
On Thursday, a meeting was held with the Railway Revenue officials at the local collectorate and the progress of the joint survey, the status of resolution of obstacles in the land acquisition process, payment of compensation, etc.
Speaking on the occasion, he ordered that the survey process should be completed soon according to the old and new alignments of the railway. He said that the difficulties in land acquisition at many places should be overcome and the land acquisition should be completed.
Arrangements for payment of land compensation according to market values, compensation for structures with very small alignments, and compensation for trees should be calculated and provided as per the market values.
Joint Collector Nishanti, RDO K Madhavi P Srikar, Railway Department Guntur Deputy Chief Engineer Sridhar, Junior Engineer P Rahul, and others participated in this program.
