Anaparthi, in the undivided East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, is one of the prominent business hubs. From this commercially developed village, it is common for many people and youngsters to travel to various parts of the country every day. However, the Railway Department had cancelled the halt of some trains at the railway station here.
Due to the cancellation of the halt, primarily of the Janmabhoomi Superfast Express, passengers faced severe difficulties. Complaints were made to political leaders and officials at the time, but to no avail.
After the coalition government came to power, the local MLA (BJP) Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy, considering the plight of the villagers, brought the matter to the attention of Rajahmundry MP Daggubati Purandeswari. With her cooperation, discussions were held with the central government, and ultimately, success was achieved.
Thanks to the strenuous efforts of MLA Ramakrishna Reddy, the halt of the Janmabhoomi Express at Anaparthi was announced from the morning of January 6th, bringing joy to the people of Anaparthi.
This is a highly beneficial initiative for the people of this region. Previously, when Moolareddy was the MLA and Chundru Srihari Rao was the MP, the halt of the Godavari Express was brought to this station. Later, during Murali Mohan’s tenure as MP, the halts for the Ratnachal and Seshadri Express trains were brought to Anaparthi.

As promised on Elections that day, this achievement was accomplished within a year and a half. The MLA visited the station today with his colleagues and Railway Officers regarding this matter.
