Andhra Pradesh Police have arrested four people from who were involved in sexually harassing female students of the lab technician course at Rangaraya Medical College in Kakinada.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his anger over the harassment case that came to light on Friday. He ordered the district authorities to submit a report along with strict punishment to the accused.
With this, the police arrested the accused GGH Biochemistry Lab Assistant Kalyan Chakravarthy, Microbiology Biochemistry, Pathology Lab Technicians B. Jimmy Raju, S. Gopalakrishna, and KVVS Prasad within hours. A POCSO case and several sections have been registered against them at Kakinada I and II town police stations.

The Collector confirmed that the sexual harassment of female students is true. He congratulated the female students who complained to the RMC Principal through email.

The Collector stated that the victims had given written complaints in the investigation conducted by the Ranga Raya Medical College Internal Complaints Committee that they had misbehaved with 55 female students. It was found.
