Minister of State for Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh is taking steps to make Andhra Pradesh a major hub for film shootings and tourism.
He participate in the prestigious ‘CII Big Picture Summit-2025’ to be held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Juhu, Mumbai on December 1 and 2 with the theme “AI Era – Bridging Creativity and Commerce”.
At the prestigious summit, which will be attended by members of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), prominent leaders from the media and entertainment sectors from India and abroad and global investors, Minister Durgesh will explain the new ‘Film Tourism Policy’ being formulated by the government to strengthen the film industry in AP.
He will invite investors by highlighting the need to set up international standard film studios, dubbing theatres and post-production units in the state. He will also reassure those who come forward to set up industries by explaining the incentives and subsidies offered by the government.
Minister Durgesh will speak on how tourism can be developed through films. He said that by showcasing the historical structures and natural beauty of AP on the silver screen, the state can gain international recognition.
Similarly, it is their aim to transform the state into a creative hub known as ‘Andhra Valley’ and contribute to driving the Indian media and entertainment sector to the $100 billion mark, Minister Kandula Durgesh said in a statement on Sunday.
