Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has made it clear to the officials that revenue services in the state should be made easier and hassle-free. He has ordered that the auto-mutation system should be implemented in real time for everything, including the pattadar passbooks.

He clarified that the system should be developed so that auto-mutation happens immediately after registration. He clarified that land owners should not have to repeatedly go around the offices for the pattadar passbook, and that a complete cleansing should be done in the revenue department within a year.

The Chief Minister revealed that he will review this every month. Revenue Minister Angani Satya Prasad, Special Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department Sai Prasad and CCLA officials attended the review meeting held by the Chief Minister on Tuesday on the revenue department at the Secretariat. Officials told the Chief Minister in the meeting that 1,97,915 complaints were received in PGRS regarding mutation and pattadar passbooks.

It was explained that there were 1,00,835 applications for land nature and classification-related disputes, 1,00,295 PGRS applications for land reduction after resurvey, and 2,40,479 complaints against joint LPMs.

Officials explained to the Chief Minister that resurvey has been completed in 6,693 villages at present, and 10,123 more need to be done. However, the CM ordered that the resurvey process be completed by December 2027. He directed that a report be submitted on the progress of the resurvey every month.

The CM also suggested that applications for removal from the 22A list should be resolved quickly. He said that extreme caution should be exercised in the case of 22A freehold lands. He said that there is a need to bring a robust system like blockchain so that the details of the documents are not tampered with. Assigned lands mortgaged with primary cooperative societies till 1999 should also be removed from the 22A list. He said that the sale deeds register of holdings of barren lands before 1954 should be removed from 22A.

We have set a revenue target of Rs. 10,169 crore in the Registrations Department. Upgrade land values with market values.’ The Chief Minister clarified the officials.

From June 15 last year to December 1 this year, the Revenue Department received 5,28,217 grievances, of which 4,55,189 or 86 percent of the grievances have been resolved, officials said. Also, since June 2024, 6,846 applications have been filed seeking the removal of their land details from the 22A list. Ex-servicemen, political victims, freedom fighters, etc. are among them.

Officials told the Chief Minister that only the lands of those who had assigned lands before 1954 will be removed from 22A.
