Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has said that the Zero Poverty-P4 target for poverty eradication will be realized by 2029. This will be the first step. He said that the P4 program undertaken in Andhra Pradesh will stand as an example for the country. On Tuesday, the Chief Minister held a review on P4 with MLAs, public representatives and officials through a video conference at the Secretariat.
It was decided in this review to implement P4 from the 19th of this month. CS Vijayanand, Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, P4 Foundation Vice President Kutumbarao, Finance and Planning Department officials were present at this review held at the Secretariat.
Speaking in the review, the Chief Minister said, “We have taken up the P4 program as part of poverty eradication. The goal is to provide better living standards for the golden families. The main purpose is to give back to society. A small support from the guides goes a long way for the poor. With that inspiration, Pallekunta Hemalatha, a sanitation worker from Avanigadda constituency, has become a guide and is helping an old woman.
If you have a responsive mind, you will come forward to help the poor with humanity. Along with money, those who help are also guides. All that is needed for the golden families is emotional bonding and support. Organizations like Bill Gates and Vedanta are working with CSR funds. Beyond this, we have taken up the P4 program with the aim of helping families. We are implementing the Zero Poverty Mission with people as our asset.” The Chief Minister clarified.
The selection of guides in helping the golden families is completely voluntary. There is no compulsion on anyone anywhere. There should be no opposition in the selection of guides. Do not force anyone. Only those who are human will join this. Some act like monsters to block good programs. They try to create opposition in the minds of the people.
If these increase, it will not be good for the society. Those who received help in the golden family today can become the guides tomorrow. While receiving the welfare schemes given by the government, the golden families will receive additional assistance through P4. “Meet NRIs and industrialists abroad and stimulate their thinking,” the CM suggested.
So far, 9,37,913 golden families have been selected. We have identified 1,03,938 mentors. We have identified the needs of 10 lakh golden families across the state in order of priority. We have recorded the details with 11 questions and analyzed them with AI. 31 percent want to create job opportunities, 22 percent want medical treatment, and 9 percent want to provide opportunities to further grow their small businesses.
In addition to adopting golden families, they are also coming forward to adopt them village-wise and mandal-wise. We have also included the topic of Fund a Need in the P4 program. We will review the implementation of this program once every three months.
Public representatives and officials can also participate in this program voluntarily. Currently, I have also registered as a mentor and adopted 250 families.

We will go for the welfare of those families as planned. We are implementing many service programs through the NTR Trust. During the Uttarakhand floods in the United States, despite being in the opposition, we came forward to help the Telugu people. We arranged special flights to bring the victims. We arranged buses to take them to their homes. When Kurnool was flooded, lakhs of people were helped as soon as the call was given. The inspiration of the guides is the support of the golden families,” the Chief Minister said.
