Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, various government departments are working in close coordination to mitigate the impact of Cyclone Mantha.

Showing direct leadership, Telugu Desam Party State President and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao on Monday visited several areas affected by the cyclone, including Yarada.

After reviewing the situation with local officials, Srinivasa Rao warned that the next 24 hours would be crucial as Cyclone Mantha is likely to intensify further. “Strong winds and heavy rains are likely to occur in the coastal areas. Citizens should remain alert and avoid unnecessary travel,” he said.

Public safety is our prime responsibility,” he stressed, adding that residents of coastal and hilly areas were already being shifted to relief centres designated by the government.

Sri Srinivasa Rao lauded the active participation of TDP and Alliance workers in the ongoing relief operations.This commitment and discipline should continue for the next 48 hours as well, he said, calling on party leaders and volunteers to be available to citizens and to be in constant communication with the authorities.

Under the direct supervision of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, he said, the state government was closely monitoring the situation. The Chief Minister himself is reviewing the functioning of various departments and ensuring that every possible step is being taken to save lives and property,” Srinivasa Rao said.

He also praised IT Minister and prominent youth leader Sri Nara Lokesh for his 24/7 monitoring of the RTGS control room for the past two days.

Expressing strong disapproval, TDP state president YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders who had come earlier He condemned attempts to circulate old photographs and videos of cyclones Hudhud and Titli on social media, thereby creating unnecessary fear among citizens.
Let us all act responsibly and help maintain peace, he said.
