Rape incidents have taken place on two minor girls in two places in Andhra Pradesh.
A girl studying in class 10 in a girls’ hostel in Rajahmundry, East Godavari district, has been raped by one youth after the girl’s parents filed a complaint with the Rajahmundry 2 Town Police and the accused have been under serching.
The second rape incident took place in Tuni, Kakinada district. The police said that a minor girl studying in a local Gurukul school was raped by an old man. Police said that a case has been registered.
In Tuni, Kakinada district, a girl studying in class 8 of Naranayarao Gurukul School was taken away from the school by Narayana Rao, who took the girl to the garden and tried to rape her. The police arrested Narayana Rao on the complaint of the girl’s relatives.
Rajahmundry incident: On the 20th of this month, One youths who had gone to the government hostel where the girl was staying on Diwali day took her away and returned on the 21st. The girl told the hostel warden that she had left the hostel. The girl told her parents and filed a complaint with the police.
As soon as he came to know about this, local TDP City MLA Adireddy Srinivas and other leaders went to the hostel to take it as a series’ of the situation and ordered the police to take action on a war footing.
Nara Lokesh, the Minister of IT, Education and Human Resource Development of Andhra Pradesh, who is on a foreign tour, expressed his anger after learning about these incidents through the media.
Minister Nara Lokesh said that he was shocked to hear the news of the attempted rape of a school girl in Tuni. He said that a POCSO case has been registered against the ringleader Tatika Narayana Rao and orders have been issued to arrest him.
We will punish anyone who commits such incidents with iron fists. We will provide counseling to the victim and provide all possible help. “We have instructed the authorities to provide tight security to the students in the Gurukuls,” Lokesh said.

Dr. Rayapati Shailaja spoke to the Kakinada District SP on the phone. She asked that the culprit be brought to the book. The Commission Chairperson Shailaja said that the Commission is taking under suo moto action on this incident.
