Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu commented that digital transformation is the most important aspect of governance.
The CM clarified that technology alone has the potential to bring administration closer to the people. The CM attended the two-day National E-Governance Conference organized by the Union Ministry of IT and Information as the chief guest.

The Chief Minister addressed the 28th National E-Governance Conference being held with the theme of Civil Services – Digital Transformation.

The CM clarified that technologies like artificial intelligence and cyber security are crucial for more efficient management of civil services provided by government departments.

The Chief Minister said that changes have come in governance with the IT and e-governance aspects being followed by the central and state governments. He clarified that revolutionary changes have also taken place in public life through communication reforms.

The CM said that by embracing technology, we have already taken the civil services provided by government departments to the people through e-service and me-service in the joint AP. He said that there is an opportunity to make decisions quickly with things like e-files and e-cabinet.

He also clarified that cyber security is also very crucial while implementing these systems. He said that we are able to reap the wide benefits of IT. The CM explained that we are implementing Manamitra WhatsApp Governance to take this process further.

He clarified that a total of 751 civil services have been provided to citizens through WhatsApp, bringing governance to their mobile phones. On the other hand, the CM said that competition with neighboring states has also increased due to technology.

The CM revealed that Quantum Valley is being set up in Andhra Pradesh in collaboration with IBM, TCS and L&T. The CM suggested that there is a possibility of using quantum computer services by governments, education and medical institutions.  The CM said that an ecosystem is being established here with Quantum Valley.

The Chief Minister explained that quantum computers and equipment manufacturing companies have also come forward with investments. The Chief Minister said that in these circumstances, services, jobs, production and other sectors are also changing rapidly in terms of technology, and the next 10 years are very crucial for our country.

The Chief Minister said that he welcomes the slogan of indigenous products given by Prime Minister Modi. In line with that, he wants products made in the country to become global brands. The Chief Minister revealed that the Sanjeevani project has been undertaken in AP to connect medical services with technology.

He said that digital health records are being developed in collaboration with the Bill Gates Foundation and that there is a possibility of implementing this system for the entire country soon. CM Chandrababu suggested that we keep in mind the extent to which we have brought ease of living closer to the people by adopting technology.

The Chief Minister said that in the past, youth got job opportunities on a large scale by adopting the BPO system, but now the financial benefits generated through some apps are going abroad.

He said that there is a need to focus on this. He said that another key aspect of technology is the semiconductor industry. The CM thanked the Prime Minister for allocating a semiconductor industry to AP.

The CM said that in the near future, AP will also become a major partner in national development through space, drone, electronic city and medtech parks.

As part of this program, the Chief Minister launched the Digital AP edition. CS K. Vijayanand along with senior officials of the Union IT Ministry and the state government were present at this program.
