AMARAVATI: Keeping in view the upcoming Maha Shivaratri festival across the state, State Endowment Department Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy conducted a review through video conference on the crowd of devotees, facilities and arrangements at various Shaiva temples including Srisailam.
Minister Anam comprehensively reviewed the crowd of devotees and facilities at all the major temples across the state, including the Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy Devasthanam, Srikalahasti, Kotappakonda, along with the major temples across the state, on the occasion of Brahmotsavam. The Endowment Department officials and the district administration made several suggestions and recommendations in the video conference on the steps to be taken and the facilities to be provided.
Minister Anam instructed the officials to take strong measures as the crowd of devotees is likely to increase further in all Shaiva temples by Maha Shivaratri. He suggested that the Endowment Department, Police Department and District Collectors should take special care in full coordination and continuously monitor the arrangements and facilities.
The Minister instructed the Endowment Department officials to implement the program so that the devotees do not face any inconvenience, especially the devotees coming from far away areas to complete their darshan quickly and get accommodation facilities on time.
He made it clear that no one should act in a way that disrespects or causes trouble to the devotees who work hard to come to the temples with initiations and maladharan.
Minister Anam stated that advance plans should be prepared in accordance with the increasing crowd of devotees in the temples day by day, and all departments should work in full coordination on key occasions like Maha Shivaratri. He said that the Endowment Department will have more responsibility in organizing these programs. Minister Anam clarified that there is no compromise on the issue of respect for devotees and the provision of comfortable darshan.
He also ordered that other officials should not interfere in the temple rituals, that sanitation work should be carried out continuously and the temple surroundings should be kept clean, and that basic facilities like milk, biscuits and drinking water should be made available to the devotees. He also clarified that the SOPs already issued by the Endowment Department should be implemented.
Minister Anam suggested that temple officers and festival officers should give equal priority to VIPs as well as ordinary devotees in the Maha Shivaratri arrangements, and that arrangements should be made for darshan only at the allotted times.
Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy said that during the video conference, officials of all departments should work responsibly to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri and to organize the program successfully.
