A tragic incident occurred in the early hours of the morning on National Highway NH-565 near Sirigiripadu village in Veludurthi mandal of Macherla constituency, Palnadu district, Andhra Pradesh.
A tiger died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle. Upon receiving the information, forest department officials immediately reached the spot and inspected the area.
On this occasion, Vijayapuri South Forest Range Officer Sujatha stated that there are a total of four tigers in the Vijayapuri South Forest Range, and one of them died in the early hours of the morning after being hit by an unidentified vehicle.
The death of the tiger has caused a stir in the forest department. A case has been registered regarding the incident, and the forest department and police officials have jointly launched an investigation to identify the vehicle that hit the tiger.

Environmentalists are of the opinion that there is a need to install speed control and warning signs on national highways for the protection of wild animals. Locals are demanding that strict measures be taken to prevent such incidents from recurring.
