Andhra Pradesh State Education, IT and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh met Carrier Executive Director Arun Bhatia at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore.
On this occasion, Minister Nara Lokesh said Work with the Andhra Pradesh government to implement Carrier HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) systems in smart city projects like Amaravati and Visakhapatnam in AP. This will reduce electricity consumption by 25 percent and be mutually beneficial. It will help us achieve the goal of zero emissions by 2050.
Support the installation of low-GWP (Global Warming Potential) refrigerants and energy efficient systems in upcoming commercial and residential projects with green building certification in Andhra Pradesh. Work with the AP government to build a sustainable cold chain logistics hub for agricultural products, pharmaceuticals and food in tier-2 and tier-3 cities of AP.
Minister Lokesh urged the AP government to set up hyperscale data centers in emerging tech hubs like Visakhapatnam to utilize the policies, incentives and infrastructure implemented by the AP government.
Carrier Executive Director Bhatia responded that Carrier is one of the top-3 HVAC players in India. He said that the company will discuss the AP government’s proposals with its team and make a positive decision.
