The AP Tourism Department has partnered with India Khelo Football to showcase the state’s culture to the world through sports, and this is a milestone, said APTDC MD Amrapali Kata.
To unearth and empower grassroots youth talent in Andhra Pradesh, the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department will launch the “Tiger IKF Scout on Wheels” program in collaboration with India Khelo Football (IKF). As part of this program, a 45-day football roadshow will be held under the supervision of APTDC MD Amrapali Kata.
The road show, which will reach seven major cities like Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Sattenapalli, Vijayawada, Kurnool, Anantapur and Tirupati, will organize football trials, clinics, parent workshops and girl empowerment sessions in more than ten small towns. MD Amrapali will extend her support through the Tourism Department to make this program a success. They believe that this will also give publicity to the tourism sector.
Speaking on the occasion, APTDC MD Amrapali Kata, said that tourism is not just about seeing places, but also about sharing the stories of people and their culture. By supporting ‘Scout on Wheels’, they made it clear that they are working to take youth empowerment and self-esteem to every corner of Andhra Pradesh along with football. Gaurav Gupta, Founder, MD and CEO, Tiger Capital, said that it is a matter of pride for them to be the title partner of ‘Scout on Wheels’. He said that as an NBFC, their goal is to empower communities with financial freedom. Through this program, volunteers from their 27 branches will directly interact with parents and players to provide them with financial literacy, apprenticeships for youth and job opportunities for families. He revealed that it is not just about giving loans, but also giving families the freedom to dream.
IKF Founder Phani Bhushan said that football is a must for every household in India We believe that we should be. By bringing ‘Scout on Wheels’ to Andhra Pradesh, we are proving that football opportunities are not limited to a few states. It is about identifying players, empowering girls, engaging parents and above all, making Andhra Pradesh a football-playing state. The non-profit organization India Khelo Football is expected to provide professional opportunities to over 1,000 players. It will also conduct awareness sessions for over 2,000 parents. Over 300 girls will be empowered through workshops on health, nutrition and sports. The organization has already identified young talent through its Career 360 program and provided them with a secure future. Registrations for all cities will soon be available on the IKF website. Similarly, tourism Relevant details will be available on social media handles. Players between the ages of 11 and 17 are eligible to participate in this event.
