Minister Kandula Durgash distributed the ex-gratia of Rs 20 lakhs announced by the coalition government to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the Vetlapalem fireworks manufacturing accident

AMARAVATI: On the orders of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Minister Kandula Durgesh visited Samarlakota mandal of Kakinada district on Sunday.
On this occasion, he visited and consoled the families of the victims who lost their lives in the accident that took place at a fireworks manufacturing plant in Vetlapalem village. Minister Durgesh was moved to see them.
On behalf of the government, the ex-gratia cheques of Rs. 20 lakh each were presented to the families of the victims by Kakinada MP Tangella Uday Srinivas, Kakinada Jana Sena Party In-charge and DCCB Chairman Tummala Ramaswamy Babu.
Minister Kandula Durgesh was moved to tears after seeing the grief in the eyes of the families due to the loss of lives and the heartbreaking tragedy that had left them heartbroken.
On this occasion, the family members of Darsipati Nani (38), Edida Sampath Kumar (25) of Samarlakota, Gampala Manga (43), Gampala Nagaraju (45) of Gudaparthi, Mandapalli Chinni (44), Godatha Mahesh (41), Godatha Veeravenkata Ramana (48), Kadimpalli Dhanaraju (55), and Makara Raghavamma (55) of Pedhabrahmadevam, who died in the accident, were presented with financial assistance cheques of Rs 20 lakh each announced by the government.
On this occasion, Minister Durgesh visited the members’ homes in their villages and assured them of the government’s support. They were warmly welcomed and consoled. They said that the government’s intention is not to bring back the lost people but that the families should not fall on the road and that they will support the family financially on their behalf. I am a child in your house and your elder brother.

With a heavy heart, Minister Kandula Durgesh distributed the cheques, saying that his government will stand by you. Many people were moved to tears. Instead of just handing out cheques, Minister Durgesh went inside each house and inquired about their hardships. He assured that strict action would be taken to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future.
