Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu requested India’s Ambassador to Switzerland, Mridul Kumar, to facilitate investments from prominent Swiss companies in Andhra Pradesh.

CM Chandrababu undertook a four-day visit to Davos to participate in the World Economic Forum to attract investments.

As part of his tour, CM Chandrababu, upon arriving in Zurich, met with India’s Ambassador to Switzerland, Mridul Kumar. Ministers Nara Lokesh and T.G. Bharat also participated in the meeting.

The two discussed the opportunities for various Swiss companies to invest in Andhra Pradesh. The Indian Ambassador explained to the CM’s team that Switzerland is at the forefront in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, machinery, heavy machinery manufacturing, hardware-electronics, rail components, technical textiles, and research centers.

Accordingly, CM Chandrababu stated that there are better opportunities in Andhra Pradesh for investments in sectors such as pharmaceuticals and medical equipment. He added that a total of 25 policies have been introduced for industrial development to create a favorable environment for investments in the state. The Chief Minister explained that they are giving utmost priority to modern technology sectors such as AI and quantum computing.

Mridul stated that representatives from Liechtenstein will be attending the AI ​ ​ conference to be held in India next month. Responding to this, the Chief Minister said that Andhra Pradesh will also be a partner.

Today, wherever you go in the world, the achievements of Indians are a source of pride. Many countries in the world are currently facing a shortage of human resources. India is ready with its youth power. The answer to the global shortage of human resources can be found in India. The progress of AI in a country like Liechtenstein is interesting. Andhra Pradesh is at the forefront of the country in natural farming, he said.

Minister Nara Lokesh:

The cooperation of the Indian Ambassador is needed for pharmaceutical companies and universities from Switzerland to come to Andhra Pradesh. The Indian Ambassador should cooperate in connecting Andhra Pradesh with various companies.

Andhra Pradesh is ready to provide the necessary manpower for companies in various sectors. We are providing skill training to the youth. There are companies that manufacture drones capable of carrying 100 kg of weight.

We need cooperation to realize business-to-business investments in this sector, explained Andhra Pradesh IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh.

Telugu people who had come from nearly 20 countries in Europe gave a grand welcome to the Chief Minister. At Zurich Airport, Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and World Bank Group President Ajay Banga courteously met with the Chief Minister.
