Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu commented that a giant IT company like Google came to Andhra Pradesh with confidence in the law and order situation in the Andhra Pradesh state.
He made it clear that investments are possible only if there is law and order. He suggested that the police department should play a key role in maintaining them. CM Chandrababu attended a program organized by APSP 6th Battalion Ground in Mangalagiri on the occasion of Police Martyrs’ Day.
On this occasion, he received a salute from the security forces. The Chief Minister paid tributes at the Police Martyrs’ Stupa. He donated to the Flag Fund by wearing the flag on the Police Martyrs’ Day. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced that the government will take the responsibility of increasing the respect of the police and also taking care of the welfare of their families.
The CM called for work to bring more value to the AP Police. Addressing the police at the event, the CM said, “I pay tribute to the police martyrs who lost their lives in the line of duty for peace and security in the country. I pray to God that their souls rest in peace.
On October 21, 1959, 10 CRPF jawans were martyred in the heroic fight against China. In their memory, we celebrate Police Martyrs’ Day every year on October 21. We are inspired by their sacrifices and selflessness. This year, 192 policemen were martyred in the line of duty across the country. I pay tribute to them. I always respect the police who are risking their lives to protect the people. What the police do is not a job, it is a selfless service.”
Development is possible only if there is peace and security. Only then will welfare be available to everyone. Employment opportunities will be available. Only then will there be peace and happiness in the family and society.
All these are interrelated. If there is unrest in the society, investments will not come. That is why I am always sure about law and order. Industries and companies come with the belief that their investments will be safe.
With the same belief, Google has invested in Visakhapatnam. The investments that Google is making in Visakhapatnam are the largest in the country. An AI data hub is being set up in Visakhapatnam with 15 billion dollars. Development will happen only when investments come. Only then will AP move forward in all fields. AP Police is a brand. AP Police has earned a great reputation in suppressing factionalism, Naxalism, and rowdyism.
The police system should be vigilant. There are those who commit crimes in the name of ideology, for dominance, and for money. Such crimes should be stopped. The pattern of crimes is changing. Criminals are updating. To play their game, the police department should also be updated.
That is why we are strengthening the police department technically. There is a need to use technology widely like CCTV cameras, drones, phone signals, Google Takeout… We are setting up a CCTV camera every 50 meters in the state. It will act as a third eye for the police system.
Whoever commits any wrongdoing anywhere will be caught on record. With training in line with technology, advanced police stations, Eagle and Shakti teams, the state police system has become an ideal. Drones are being used to identify and destroy marijuana crops. Smuggling is being stopped. Drones are being flown in the forests and red sandalwood thieves are being arrested. Congratulations to the police department in this regard. Those who are turning into gangs of rowdyism for money should be arrested. Those who do wrong should fear the police. Only then will crimes decrease,” the Chief Minister said.
“New criminals have emerged under the guise of politics to create unrest in the society and gain profit. They are more dangerous than real criminals. They are creating discord between religions and castes. They are making political conspiracies to create unrest in the society. They are misleading people by spreading fake propaganda. The police should be more alert about such things. They tried to use the death of Pastor Praveen to create discord between religions.
“The police department should be at the forefront of technology in modernization. We have brought new policies. We have made greyhounds very strong. We have made trains run in the hearts of those who want to commit rowdyism. We should be afraid to commit cyber crimes. We should be strict in curbing crimes.
We have released Rs. 33 crores for police medical services in 16 months. We have provided Rs. 23 crores under insurance to 171 deceased policemen. We are positive towards government employees. We have decided to give a DA. We will pay a surrender leave to police brothers in two installments. We have completed the recruitment of 6,100 constables. We are taking steps to ensure that departmental promotions come on time.
The CM visited the photo gallery set up as part of the Martyrs’ Day program. Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, CS Vijayanand, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta and other senior officials participated in the program.
