A private travel bus went out of control this Earley morning in the Rampachodavaram agency area of ​​Andhra Pradesh and fell into a deep gorge while traveling on the Chintoor-Maredumilli ghat road.

As a result, 9 passengers in the bus died, and more than 23 others sustained serious injuries, Motugudem Inspector of Police Gopalakrishna explained to the media.
Upon receiving news of the accident, he immediately rushed to the accident site with other police personnel and shifted the injured to the hospital.

According to preliminary information, the accident occurred on Friday morning in Alluri Sitarama Raju district, plunging the area into tragedy. A private tourist bus traveling on the Chintoor-Maredumilli ghat road lost control and fell into a deep gorge.
The bus accident that occurred at the Thulasipakalu ghat in Chintoor mandal of Alluri Sitarama Raju district has left behind a great tragedy. CI Gopalakrishna revealed that it happened around 4 AM.

Chintoor police, revenue staff, and ambulance teams immediately reached the accident site and started rescue operations.  The injured were shifted to nearby government hospitals. Officials are primarily of the opinion that factors such as sharp curves in the road, fog, and the driver suddenly losing control of the steering wheel might have caused the accident.

Rescue operations became difficult as the accident site is in a deep forest area. Police are retrieving the bodies with the help of cranes and valley rescue teams. It is reported that the deceased include tourists and local passengers.

According to the police, a private bus carrying 35 pilgrims from Chittoor district and two drivers was on its way to Annavaram after completing a pilgrimage in Bhadrachalam.  When it reached Rajugarimettu on the Chintoor-Maredumilli ghat road, the bus lost control and plunged into a gorge.  It is understood that there were a total of 37 people in the bus at the time of the accident.

The state government expressed deep sorrow over the incident and offered condolences to the bereaved families.  It is learned that orders have been issued to senior officials to conduct a full-scale investigation into the accident.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu expressed his profound grief over this tragic accident. The state Home Minister is scheduled to visit the accident site. Other ministers have also expressed their deepest condolences.
