AMARAVATI: Minister Kondapalli Srinivas said that in order to provide necessary assistance to the Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRT) in distress, AP NRT coordinators in Gulf countries have been alerted and steps have been taken to provide temporary accommodation, security and necessary assistance with the cooperation of local Telugu families.
The Minister said that AP NRT officials are monitoring the situation from time to time and are in touch with the coordinators. The Minister suggested that the services of the local Indian Embassy, as well as the helpline numbers set up by the state government, should be used.
