TDP State President and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting in Kurnool will be remembered as a pivotal moment in the history of the district in the wake of reforms.

Reviewing the preparations for the GST 2.0 mega meeting, Srinivasa Rao told the media at the TDP district office in Kurnool that elaborate plans are being made to ensure that the people attending the Prime Minister’s rally do not face any difficulties.

From traffic control to drinking water, medical facilities and parking arrangements every department is working in close coordination to organize the event smoothly,” he said.

Sri Srinivasa Rao described the GST 2.0 initiative as a landmark reform that marks a new phase in India’s economic evolution under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. “This is not just a tax reform;  This is a structural transformation that will infuse new energy into the country’s economy,” he said.

He explained that the reform will benefit small traders, farmers, middle-class families and housewives alike, paving the way for inclusive and sustainable growth. With tax cuts on essential items, sectors like automobiles, agriculture, education and healthcare will become more accessible. “By increasing the purchasing power of the common citizen, GST 2.0 will contribute to sustainable economic expansion,” he said.

According to his estimates, each family in Andhra Pradesh is expected to save ₹15,000 to ₹40,000 per year, earning the state an additional revenue of about ₹8,000 crore. Nationally, this saving could be over ₹2.5 lakh crore, he said.

From the Mahanadu in Kadapa to the ‘Super Six, Super Hit’ rally in Anantapur, every meet held in the region has been a great success. There was a palpable enthusiasm among families in the undivided Kurnool district, with over three lakh people volunteering for the event.  He said that he will attend.

Reflecting on the performance of the coalition government in the last sixteen months, Srinivasa Rao said that many pre-poll promises were fulfilled with remarkable speed and honesty. “The Super Six welfare schemes have been a super hit among the people,” he said, praising Minister Nara Lokesh for conducting the Mega DSC in record time, resulting in appointments for 16,000 teachers and announcing another recruitment drive soon.

He stressed that the alliance was led by Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan are working tirelessly for the welfare and progress of the people. “The alliance is not driven by politics, but by purpose – it is a partnership for the public good.  Under their collective leadership, Andhra Pradesh is firmly moving towards a golden age,” he affirmed.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that Visakhapatnam is being transformed into a major IT hub, while Rayalaseema is being developed as a solar and drone hub. “Tech giants like Google and TCS have expressed interest in setting up data centres in Visakhapatnam, which have investments running into lakhs of crores,” he revealed.

“At the same time, the Chief Minister is positioning Kurnool as a drone hub and several companies have already started operations in Rayalaseema.  “Tomorrow, a major deal for a Google data centre will be finalised in Delhi in the presence of Shri Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh,” he said.

Highlighting the employment opportunities, he said that the state aims to create 20 lakh jobs through the initiative spearheaded by Shri Lokesh, out of which five lakh are in the IT sector. “Anantapur is emerging as a space hub, Visakhapatnam as an IT hub, Amaravati as a proud capital of the country and Kurnool as a drone hub. Together, these four cities will form the four wheels of Andhra Pradesh’s future growth engine,” he announced.

The review meeting was attended by Ministers Nimmala Ramanaidu (Irrigation), T.G. Bharat (Heavy Industries), MLC B.T. Naidu, TDP District President Tikka Reddy and senior party leaders.
