Amaravati: The AP Counter Intelligence (CI) police have taken three youths into custody on suspicion of having links to terrorist activities in Vijayawada.
Officials are secretly interrogating two 21-year-old youths from Vinchipeta, along with a 20-year-old youth from Bhavanipuram.
State CI Cell officials initiated continuous surveillance after central intelligence agencies issued alerts regarding potential terror cells across the country.
As part of this surveillance, officials focused on social media activities and discovered that these three youths were posting content in support of terrorist organizations.
Acting swiftly, the police conducted searches at their residences and took all three into custody. It is reported that cellphones and other electronic devices were seized from their possession.
Preliminary police interrogation reportedly revealed that the youths admitted to being influenced by terrorist activities abroad and to posting provocative content on social media.

They are currently being interrogated at a secret location. The police are conducting a deep investigation into various angles, including: With which terrorist organizations do they have links? Who is encouraging them? And what are the origins of the links found in their social media accounts? This incident has created a stir in Vijayawada.
