This is the first time a robot has been used in railway security in the country. According to the railway police, ‘Arjun’ was on duty in the station premises at 8:10 PM. The details and photos of the criminals had already been uploaded into the robot.
The robot filmed two suspicious individuals roaming in the station with its camera and identified them as old offenders through facial recognition technology. The robot immediately sent this information and the CCTV footage details to the control room.
Upon receiving the information from the robot, Head Constable B.S. Narayana alerted the team led by Sub-Inspector V. Keerthi Reddy.

The police responded promptly and took two individuals, Shiva and Bangaru, into custody. They also found that the two did not have travel tickets. Having achieved success on its very first attempt, the “Arjun Robot” ensures that criminals will no longer be able to escape.
