For the first time in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, the government has started collecting market fees in a digital manner to curb irregularities at the check posts of the agricultural market committees.
The first digital payments were jointly made by the State Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh and District Collector P. Prashanthi at the check post of Peravali mandal under the auspices of the Nidadavol Agricultural Market Committee.

For the first time in the state, a pilot project in East Godavari district East Godavari district, Nidadavolu: The state government has taken strong steps towards collecting market fees in a digital manner to curb irregularities at the check posts of agricultural market committees.
Thus, this pilot project, which is being implemented with the support of SBI Bank to achieve 100 percent market fee, was jointly launched by State Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh and District Collector P. Prashanthi at the check post of Peravali mandal under the auspices of the Nidadavolu Agricultural Market Committee of East Godavari district.

On this occasion, the digital payment system was launched through the e-pass machine. It was revealed that this system will be implemented in market yard inspections across the state in the coming days.
On this occasion, Minister Kandula Durgesh said that the market fee, which was collected in cash at the marketing inspection centers till now, will now be collected completely digitally and with proper receipts.
The coalition government believes that this will increase transparency and increase the income of the market committees.
He said that the coalition government is introducing a convenient digital system for the people through apps in every sector so that money does not go astray. He said that data collection will be easy. He described it as a very happy thing that digital channels are available for the welfare of farmers and the development of the agricultural sector.
District Collector P. Prashanthi said that with this system brought by the government, it will be possible to reach the fee targets one hundred percent without losing the income of the market yards. He said that the market fee targets will be transparent. He said that those who are showing off with fake receipts will be checked.
