Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu made several suggestions on the performance of ministers, secretaries and heads of departments at the Secretariat today.

The Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has made it clear that all government services will be made available online by January 15 and has directed some backward sections to improve their services. He said that some officials are adopting a negative attitude towards every program and they should adopt a positive attitude to get good results. 

Chandrababu chairing a meeting of ministers, secretaries and heads of departments held at the Secretariat today, said that it is very important for officials to use technology to improve public services and ultimately adopt a humanistic approach to achieve public satisfaction.

He has directed officials to focus more on increasing the satisfaction levels of people in providing public services. He questioned what was wrong in changing the rules of business to speed up file clearance as the Constitution has been amended several times to benefit the people.

He said that administrative rules should be simplified and both public representatives and officials should be accountable to the people. He stressed that monitoring the delivery of public services at the last mile was very important and the need to strengthen the village and ward secretariats.

Stating that the NDA government would not increase the electricity tariff this year, the Chief Minister said that efforts were currently being made to reduce the purchase price of power from Rs. 4.92 to Rs. 4 per unit.

He said that the government could re-establish the brand image of Andhra Pradesh and attract huge investments, and the success of the CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam was a good example of this.

The Chief Minister said that the growth rate of 12.02 per cent in the first quarter of the financial year 2025-26 and 11.28 per cent in the second quarter is expected to be achieved, and the target is to achieve 17.11 per cent growth.

He said that the government is focusing more on the irrigation sector and can store 944 TMC of water in various projects.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to the development of all regions and Andhra Pradesh is at the top with the highest number of industrial parks in the country with 638.

He said that three economic zones will be developed, namely Visakhapatnam with North Andhra and East Godavari districts, Amaravati with West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam districts, and Tirupati with Nellore and Kurnool districts.

In the last 18 months of rule, the Chief Minister said that the government has been successful in improving the performance of many departments. However, some departments are lagging behind. Citing the examples of the Endowments and Revenue departments, he opined that both the departments are yet to recover.

The performance of TTD has improved and the same should be achieved in all temples, he said. Making it clear that there is no point in public services except gaining the trust and satisfaction of the people, the Chief Minister said that the performance of every officer will be monitored in real time.
